Staff Training Week 2024

The 6th international Staff Training Week 2024 was held at the University of Zadar from 15 - 19 April 2024, with the aim of sharing knowledge and new ideas through discussions and the exchange of good practices. The event hosted 47 participants, both academic and non-academic staff, from HEIs from 13 countries.

One of the two main topics of the Staff Training Week 2024, Erasmus+ mid-term evaluation: what we have learnt?, was organised as a round table moderated by the Head of the International Relations Office, Ms. Maja Kolega, prof. Participants Thomas Forti from the University of Nantes (France), Anja Hetsen-Huijsmans and Kim Laura Koziol from Aeres University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), Hakan Ozan from Isparta University of Applied Sciences (Turkey) and Daniel Reinecker from the University of Rostock (Germany) have particularly contributed to the discussion with their questions and arguments.

The panel on the topic Marketing Strategies in the Higher Education Mobility began with a short review of marketing activities at the University of Zadar and the International Relations Office presented by Marija Džaja Sikirić, IR Officer at the University of Zadar. Dr Aneta Szymańska, prof. WAB, Vice-rector for Development and External Relations at the Wroclaw Business University of Applied Sciences (Poland) presented her HEI and shared her expertise and experiences in this particular field of marketing. Birgit Averbeck, Head of International Affairs and Outreachmanagement within the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at City University of Applied Sciences in Bremen (Germany), presented the marketing activities of her University, including good practices exemples in partnership management. Ms Iryna Shvets, a Marketing and PR Expert from University of Opole (Poland) gave an insightful presentation on the marketing strategy and activities at her University.

In addition to the main programme, the venue included side events such as a welcoming buffet, a basic Croatian language course, an excursion to Kornati Islands, a visit to the Student Dormitory, and a visit to the naval simulator at the Maritime Department. These activities provided a great opportunity for participants to strengthen existing relations and meet potential partners.
