Courses for Exchange Students

Important note: Incoming students can choose courses from different departments, but they must select one main home department at the University of Zadar. This is the department where the students are awarded the highest number of ECTS credits listed in the Learning Agreement, preferably 50% of total ECTS credits in the LA.

Lists of the courses in English/foreign languages by semesters:

For all additional information about a particular course, please, contact the respective Erasmus+ coordinators at the Department

Except for the courses offered in English, the lectures at the University of Zadar are generally held in Croatian (except for the study programmes of foreign languages where the lectures are held in the relevant language). The University of Zadar requires that the student has very good language skills (in reading, writing, and speaking) equivalent to level B2 on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) scale. No particular concessions will be given to students whose level of English is lower than the expected levels mentioned below.

The course "Croatian Language and Culture A1", held at the Department of Croatian Studies, is intended for all interested attendees who would like to gain a basic knowledge of the Croatian language and culture (literature, art, history, geography, music, sports, etc.). The course is open to all incoming students at the University of Zadar who have little or no previous knowledge of Croatian language. The course consists of two modules: A1.1 and A1.2 (4 ECTS credits for each module). Each module consists of 75 teaching hours in the duration of 15 weeks (one semester).

Upon arrival: Upon arrival the incoming student has to pass the language proficiency test (Croatian, English or other) and if the student's language skills aren't equivalent to level B2 on the CEFR* scale the University will make the final decision if that student is accepted or not. Students who submit an English Language Proficiency form are exempt from testing.
